The Master of the Italian Mid-Century Design: Achille Castiglioni

Achille Castiglioni was born in Italy in 1918 and during his fifty-plus design career designed -or collaborated to- more than 150 objects from vacuum cleaners to bookshelves. A lot of his products -like the Luminator or Toio lamps- are today part of the permanent collection of the most important museums as icons of the italian mid-century design.

How to design a website that works

For some webmasters the only important thing to consider with a website design is that it looks nice. I can understand this from a basic point of view but creating a site that works for users is more than just picking nice colors. This is even truer if you depend on your site to generate sales/customers because a bad design will lose you both.
