How to design a website that works

For some webmasters the only important thing to consider with a website design is that it looks nice. I can understand this from a basic point of view but creating a site that works for users is more than just picking nice colors. This is even truer if you depend on your site to generate sales/customers because a bad design will lose you both.

How to create a blog that people love

One of the craziest things I keep seeing is bloggers who spend a lot of time and effort in an attempt to attract new visitors but then give them no reason to stay or come back once they arrive. To me it's the same no matter what market you're in, if you want to create a successful site then you need to invest in your content and design, there's no way around it.

Free Domains: Truth Or Fantasy?

For somebody starting out to be a webmaster, somebody nearly able to publish his first site, the potential of free domains is extremely thrilling. Although, the potential of everything being free is just as exciting. Skilled site owners who know better, conversely, may have a different attitude. They'd say free domains don't exist. Those that acquire revenue from it might say otherwise. So which is which? Which is real? Which one is a propaganda?
