PHPmotion is free video sharing software that also has support for other types of media such as audio/mp3 sharing. It also includes a full Content Managent System that will allow you to create and run your very own Video Sharing website, Music Sharing Site, or Picture Sharing Site. Usually very little knowledge is required to set this up allowing you to host your youtube.com , dailymotion.com, veoh, hi5 clone.
The good news is that phpmotion is 100% free to download and use. The not so good news is that there are not so many shared hosts around that also fulfull all the technical requirements to run phpmotion, as the following software is also required: LAME MP3 Encoder, Libogg + Libvorbis, Mencoder, Mplayer, FFMpeg-PHP, plus the ability the run background processes. Hi, Does anyone know any good UK Web Hosts that offer FFmpeg hosting? I’m interested in getting a Video Sharing site running. Thanks

If you are interested in building a video sharing site may I sugest you look at vzaar. It is a video platfrom already and you can use their api to build you application on top of it.
